NEW BIKE DAY!!! Sooooo excited!! When my long suffering husband said he was going to get me a new bike for my birthday I did my usual “no no no I don’t need one, it’s fine, I’m happy with mine”...but then he showed me it...it’s PURPLE!!! I know, I know, thousands of years of feminism busted right there but it’s my favourite colour so 🤷🏼♀️🤗 as he’s frickin awesome he also surprised me with a new top! I’d wear that to the pub if I ever went to one to be honest. I did consider getting up and into my cycling gear at 7am when I got up, and sitting at my desk with my cycle helmet on ready, but I thought that might be a bit much. I have succumbed to cycle obsession and ordered a new multi coloured pink and purple helmet to go with my bike, which marks the first time in my nearly 41 years that I have colour co-ordinated everything. Hopefully I won’t look like a mobile beetroot going up hills with my matching purple face.
My first road bike was scary, so flighty and felt so thin after clunky mountain bikes. And don’t get me started on those funny clip in pedals. They took months to get used to, and it can still take me ages, but I almost look like I know what I’m doing on a bike now. Pretty top and pretty purple bike. Get in 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
