www.chameleonbuddies.org.uk

We are absolutely delighted to be launching as a new charity today, with Chair Gill Castle heading the organisation, alongside trustees, Charlotte Watson (Treasurer), Claire Baigent (Secretary) and Emma Phelan (Fundraising Co-Ordinator).

The Charity is based in Alnwick, Northumberland and has several aims.

🔘Promotes social inclusion for women who have child birth injuries or trauma

🔘 Promotes social inclusion for people with ostomies

🔘 Aims to provide a support group in Northumberland for those who are struggling post child birth/stoma surgery

🔘 Advocates for more awareness of child birth injuries and trauma

🔘 Supports and inspires ostomates

🔘 Collects surplus stoma products and sends to Kenyan women with ostomies

🔘 Aims to set up a stoma support system in the Gynocare and Fistula Hospital, Eldoret, Kenya

Our Kenya work will be partnered with @beyondfistula , who Gill will be travelling with to Kenya in June.

Thank you to Peter Rathbone of BSB Supplies for the t-shirts, huge thank you to the trustees for all their work, thank you to A Bear Named Buttony and the Mind and Sole for their support.

There will be a welcome talk on Thursday 5th May at the @mindandsoulhub, Wagonway Road, Alnwick 7-9pm.

Please do follow us on Instagram @chameleon_buddies for updates, our trip to Kenya and our fabulous “I’m With You” campaign. We also have a Facebook page Chameleon Buddies.

It’s going to be a really exciting and worthwhile journey and I hope that you will all come along virtually.
